Our annual Labor Awards Dinner has become one of the major labor events in the San Francisco Bay Area. It brings together key community, civic and labor leaders and serves as a unique point of contact for building and strengthening relationships.

This year our Guest of Honor will be Terence O'Sullivan, General President of Laborers International Union of North American (LIUNA), Washington, D.C., with U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA), Larry Del Carlo, President of
Mission Housing Development Corporation, and Michael McLaughlin of Teamsters Local Union No. 856 and receiving special awards for their dedication to Organized Labor and to human rights.

Since 1982, the Instituto Laboral de la Raza has been dedicated to serving the labor and family needs of the unorganized working poor. The Instituto's mission is to serve without charge the labor and social needs of all low income families, including immigrants and indigenous peoples.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization that raises 25% of our annual operating budget from this important event.
