Release for 2006 Instituto Laboral de la Raza Labor Awards Dinner San Francisco - The Instituto Laboral de la Raza, a nonprofit labor center, will hold its 2006 Annual Labor Awards Dinner at the Marriott Hotel, 55 Fourth Street, San Francisco on Friday, February 10, 2006 - 7:00 to 10:00pm This annual gala event will be its largest ever, with an audience of over 800 labor, community and political leaders attending. The Dinner honors Laborers' International Union President Terence M. O'Sullivan as the Labor Leader of the Year - U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Lee with the Ron Dellums Congressional Leadership Award - Michael J. McLaughlin, Teamsters Local Union No. 856, with the La Raza Bay Area Leadership Award - Larry Del Carlo, President of Mission Housing Development Corporation, with the La Raza Community Leadership Award. Attendees will include S.F. Mayor Gavin Newsom, Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown, California Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante, California Attorney General Bill Lockyer, California Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi, California State Assembly Speaker pro Tempore Leland Yee, Assemblyman Mark Leno 13th State Assembly District, San Francisco Democratic Party Chair Leslie Katz, Secretary-Treasurer California Labor Federation Art Pulaski, S.F. Labor Council Executive Director Tim Paulson, and many others. There will be a pre-dinner
